Our mission, as the First Stewards of the Columbia River, as it enters from British Columbia, is to preserve the natural beauty and ecological balance of the Upper Columbia River and its surrounding areas, while ensuring that the rights and interests of property owners are protected. We aim to achieve this by promoting sustainable practices, fostering community engagement, and collaborating with local stakeholders. Our vision is to create a thriving ecosystem that benefits both the environment and the people who call it home.

The boundary landowner's association was created in 2002, by court order, to represent the interest of the original 1972 Sunland Property Owners and their successors in the access and use of the original "community" parcels - Airport Landing Strip and the Columbia River Bank. Membership was granted to parcel owners and is conveyed to any and all successive owners, who remain active, dues paying members.
We are reaching out to all former members and possible new members in an effort to update our active membership roles. We have attached a general letter to all members of the community who feel they qualify for membership as well as the necessary "request for membership" form. Simply scroll to the bottom of this site and click on the appropriate file.
We look forward to hearing from you and watch your mail, we're also sending this information to all of our addresses on file.

The Board is currently in the process of updating our yearly dues. During this process there will be no dues owed by any member. As we rely on the dues to maintain our common parcels, cover taxes and ensure adequate access to all members, they may change from time to time. We will keep all members apprised of any changes and as requested, if a member is unable to pay their dues they may apply for a Waiver of Dues.
The Boundary Land Owners Association recognizes and complies with all applicable State and Federal ordinances. As such, any drone operation at or near the Airstrip must receive prior approval before operations and the landing strip approach and takeoff and landing areas are off limits at all times.
On December 13, 2024, the Federal Register published a notice including the Upper Columbia River site on the Superfund National Priorities List (NPL). - Click Logo ---->
Listing the site on the NPL will help EPA secure comprehensive and timely cleanup of the river and adjoining uplands, and provide access to critical federal funding.
