Our mission, as the First Stewards of the Columbia River, as it enters from British Columbia, is to preserve the natural beauty and ecological balance of the Upper Columbia River and its surrounding areas, while ensuring that the rights and interests of property owners are protected. We aim to achieve this by promoting sustainable practices, fostering community engagement, and collaborating with local stakeholders. Our vision is to create a thriving ecosystem that benefits both the environment and the people who call it home.
The boundary landowner's association was created in 2002, by court order, to represent the interest of the original 1972 Sunland Property Owners and their successors in the access and use of the original "community" parcels - Airport Landing Strip and the Columbia River Bank. Membership was granted to all parcel owners and is conveyed to any and all successive owners, who remain active, dues paying members.
Yearly membership fees are due by June 1st of each year. The annual dues this year (2024) are: $100. This amount is a static amount and will not change until such time as the board deems it necessary. It is the responsibility of the member to submit timely payment. The Association will not send statements and or past due notices due to the nature of parcel ownership. If a dues paying member fails to remain current, they will be removed from the active listing and accessing community parcels will be restricted. All members and/or successors will be reinstated upon payment of any outstanding dues/fees. Yearly dues will be updated and posted to this site. Your membership fee pays the taxes on the current community property owned by the Association as well as maintaining the property and community upgrades.
